Sinkosky Art

Throughout his life, Tony Sinkosky, an American artist living in Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has been creating unique and quirky works for art when he should have been doing something else.

A 1975 graduate of Susquehanna University, Tony first pursued a career in broadcasting.  After fifteen years, the entrepreneurial bug done bit Tony hard, leading to several business ventures: including advertising, photography, and now, art.

His work has been described as surreal, eccelctic, just weird, abstract expressionism, pop, Fauvism, Bauhaus, Outhouse, and more.  References to Rothko, Dekooning, Haring, Pollock, Kadinsky and Rorhschach tests have been made by others.  Although appreciated, Tony prefers not to defame those masters by having his art compared to theirs.

My art is a jam session between my brain and my hand.  I have no idea where I’m going when I start a piece.  I simply follow the lead of the lines and colors.  I love when people say, ‘I know what that is!’  Their varied interpretations are all correct, always entertaining, gratifying, and edifying for me.  I learn so much from people through their reactions to what I create.  I have no agenda.
